TSTRANSCO(Telangana State Transmission Corporation) is the electricity transmission company of Government of Telangana state in India. It has stopped to do the power trading and has retained with powers of controlling system operations of Power Transmission.
A separate transmission company has been created for power transmission in the Telangana region.which is known as Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited Which was commenced its operations from 2 June 2014.The main motto of TS Transco is to construct and to maintain the transmission network in Telangana state.
As per the GO, all the functions which have carried out by AP Transco in the area of Telangana State has been performed by the TS Transco from June 2.Power demand in Telangana state is expected to touch 12,000 MW of power, this is the highest since Telangana government came into office.
TS TRANSCO is expecting agricultural operations to pick up and power consumption may rise from the present 120 odd million units per day to 180 odd million units over the next few months.Total installed power capacity of Telangana State is less than 6,500 MW from thermal Power and hydel power.
TSTRANSCO also provides a wide scale of job opportunities to the unemployed.Every year it will release the notification for the recruitment ,it consists of a written test, medical test, and an interview.
